1. Can students from any part of Missouri enter?
Yes.

2. Can a teacher sponsor or advise more than one group?
Yes.

3. If students want to enter, but find none of their teachers willing to sponsor them, can they have another adult sponsor them?
No. Only school staff may act as sponsors.

4. Can a student enter more than once? For example, can he/she enter with Group A on "Show Me a Story" and Group B in "Show Me Something New ?"
No.

5. Can a student have the same video entered in another contest? (dual entry into multiple contests)
Yes.

6. Will the prizes go to the students in the group or to the school?
Prizes are awarded to the school.

7. Will videos be rejected if they are received after 5 p.m. on December 17, 2007?
Yes. Schools should allow ample time for videos to arrive on time.

8. Does the 2 minute limit on the move length include titles and credits?
No. The content of the movie should not be more than 2 minutes in length. Longer movies will be disqualified.

9. Can a group of students submit one reflection sheet?
No. Each student in the group must submit his/her own reflection sheet. Their individual scores will be averaged in order to score the movie. Maximum length for the reflection is 200 words for all three questions.

10. What kind of support or technical help is CSD providing?
Many times, schools have their own tech support or other staff personnel, who have been trained in digital storytelling. In addition, CSD offers a class for teachers at its Craig Rd. facility entitled, "Helping Students Create Digital Stories Through Video Production." 11. To what extent may copyrighted material be allowed in producing a video?
Generally, for educational use, 25% of copyrighted material, including music and sounds, can be used, according to the Fair Use Law. Trademarks should not be used unless permission is granted. Check the Links page for more information on copyright.

12. Can DVDs be submitted?
No. Only QuickTime files or Windows Media Player files can be submitted. You may submit on a CD or as an email attachment.

13. What should we do if we are unsure about how to submit entries or what format to use?
