Before the course

I. SCHOOL
By the last business day at least two weeks before the first test, each school will:

  • Determine the number of students participating in each course.
  • Assign classroom facilitator(s), test proctor(s) for the course. NOTE: Facilitators shouldbe proficient with videoconferencing technology.
  • Complete the registration form and the class roster and deliver copies to:

  • Make payment of $125/student to Cooperating School Districts

II. PARENTS AND STUDENTS
By the day of the first test, each family will read and sign a copy of the Enrollment Agreement and return it to the course facilitator.

III. COOPERATING SCHOOL DISTRICTS

  • By the last business day at least two weeks before the first test, CSD will confirm participation in the course and design a schedule for the delivery of course materials to each school.
  • CSD will provide videoconferencing orientation for instructors new to the format.
  • CSD will pay TPR for teaching the course and for materials issued.

IV. THE PRINCETON REVIEW
In the two weeks leading up to each course, TPR will

  • Assign instructor(s) for the course.
  • Transport to CSD the course materials to be delivered to each school.
  • Arrange for videoconferencing orientation as needed.

During the course

V. SCHOOL

  • Facilitator or proctor will administer each test by the scheduled test day. NOTE: School may conduct tests prior to the Saturday scheduled. However, administering tests after a full day of school generally distorts test performance.
  • Facilitator or proctor will mail or deliver (by the scheduled test day) answer sheets to:

  • Facilitatorwill be present for the duration of each class to ensure that students stay on task.
  • Facilitator will share in the task of motivating students to do their best.
  • Facilitator will track each student's homework and test completion.

VI. STUDENTS
Each student will:

  • Register at least four weeks ahead of time for the official ACT that immediately follows the course.
  • Complete homework promptly as assigned.
  • Take practice tests by dates scheduled.
  • Attend all scheduled classes.
  • Listen attentively in class.

VII. PARENTS
Parents should monitor their children's progress in the course, especially homeowrk completion and practice test results.

VIII. THE PRINCETON REVIEW

  • Instructor will arrive at least 30 minutes early for the first class and at least 10 minutes for each subsequent class.
  • Instructor will provide students with his or her email address for questions students would like to pose outside of class time.
  • Instructor will teach the course according to the syllabus.
  • Course administrator will score practice tests and mail results at 5:00pm the following Monday.

IX. COOPERATING SCHOOL DISTRICTS
CSD will provide technical support for each scheduled class.


After the course

X. SCHOOL

  • At the end of the last class, facilitator will conduct a post-course survey, having students complete and return copies of the Student Evaluation Form.
  • Facilitator/administrator will complete and return the Course Administrator Evaluation Form.
  • School will send all copies of the Course Administrator Form and course attendance records to:

  • After ACT test results come back, school will send summary of results (first practice test to final ACT test for each student to the address above.

XI. STUDENTS
Students are strongly encouraged to take the ACT immediately after the course.

XII. COOPERATING SCHOOL DISTRICTS
CSD, in cooperation with The Princeton Review, will provide each school with a summary of course results.
