How to Purchase Videoconferencing Equipment

New Links to New Learning Free Classes

As part of the New Links to New Learning membership fee, three teachers from each New Links participating school district may take three classes each for free. It does not matter if only one building in the district has videoconferencing equipment; all teachers in the district are eligible. These classes are taught in our tele lab at 1460 Craig Rd., St. Louis, MO 63146. Participants may also receive one hour of graduate credit from Lindenwood University for some of these classes for a fee of $60, payable to Lindenwood.

The list of classes that can be taken free as part of the New Links membership is as follows:

Boundless Learning with Videoconferencing (A MANDATORY PRE-REQUISITE)
Using MS Word in the Classroom
Using MS PowerPoint in the Classroom
Using MS Excel in the Classroom
Using MS Publisher in the Classroom
Cross-Curricular Lessons Using Concept Mapping
Transforming Learning with a SMARTBoard
Creating Technology-Rich Lessons to Increase Student Achievement (counts as 2 free classes)

Online "Street Smarts:" Being Legal, Literate, and Secure
Classroom Projects Using Digital Cameras
Teacher Timesavers: FREE Online Resources
21st Century Learning Tools: Online Communities
Evaluating Student Work with Differentiated Scoring
Empowering Students with Podcasting
Promoting Student Inquiry Using WebQuests
Transforming Student Learning by Developing WebQuests
Integrating Media Literacy Across the Curriculum
Moodle Basics: Using a Course Management System to Increase Teacher/Student Connections

Two hours of graduate credit will be given for:

Creating Technology-Rich Lessons to Increase Student Achievement
Teacher Timesavers: FREE Online Resources
Integrating Media Literacy Across the Curriculum
Transforming Student Learning by Developing WebQuests

One hour of graduate credit will be given for the following classes:

Using MS PowerPoint in the Classroom
Cross-Curricular Lessons Using Concept Mapping
Online "Street Smarts:" Being Legal, Literate, and Secure
Classroom Projects Using Digital Cameras
21st Century Learning Tools: Online Communities
Evaluating Student Work with Differentiated Scoring
Empowering Students with Podcasting
Promoting Student Inquiry Using WebQuests

In addition, one hour of graduate credit will be granted if you take any TWO of the following classes:

Boundless Learning with Videoconferencing
Using MS Word in the Classroom
Using MS Excel in the Classroom
Using MS Publisher in the Classroom

No college credit can be given for:

Transforming Learning with a SMARTBoard
Moodle Basics: Using a Course Management System to Increase Teacher/Student Connections
