A
Guide To The Awesome Body
Introduction:
There are many different systems that make up the human body. Each area of the body has functions that work together.
Task:
It is your job to describe 5 human body systems and present the information in a tri-fold brochure using Microsoft Publisher.
Process:
ü You will work together in groups of two. You will have specific jobs to perform.
ü
Both of you begin as “Fact Finders”. Divide the following body systems and look
up the resource sites to find at least 5 facts describing each of the following
body systems: RESPIRATORY, NERVOUS, CIRCULATORY, SKELETAL AND DIGESTIVE.
ü
Write the 5 facts into your own words in complete
sentence form.
ü
As “Specialists”, each of you will create a brochure,
exchanging the information to complete your brochure.
ü
The tri fold brochure must include:
o
A cover page with a picture, title, name and hour
o
1 system listed on each panel with 5 full sentences in
bullet form, Word Art title and related picture

Conclusion:
There are several benefits that will be obtained from completing this unit. A better understanding will be gained about the human body and the systems that work to the make the body function properly. It will also be good preparation for the 8th grade science unit on frog dissection. It will enable you to work with a partner to produce a quality brochure that may be shared with other classes to provide information about the human body system.
