Library Information
The Intermediate Library is open Monday through Friday from
7:20 AM until 3:30 PM.
The librarian is there from 7:10 AM until 2:40 PM. The library aid leaves
at 3:30 PM each day.
Please be considerate of these hours.
OPEN LIBRARY
6th grade students may come to the library each day from 7:25 AM until 8:00
AM to return books,
take AR quizzes, and check out new books. (Wednesday times: 8:25-9:00 AM)
In addition to weekly scheduled classes, 4th and 5th grade students
may come to the library
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM to return books,
take AR quizzes,
and check out books. Note: there is no open library on Wednesdays, due to
shortened schedules.
SNOW DAYS, HOLIDAYS, PDC DAYS
Library classes will not be rescheduled.
ABSENTEES
When students are absent, they may come down during open library time
or when they arrive at school the day after being absent. If they choose to
come after they get off the bus,
they must leave the library by 8:40 AM.
FINES
OVERDUE BOOKS: The Intermediate Library does not charge fines for overdue
books.
If a student forgets a book at home or in the classroom, he/she is not allowed
to check out another
book until the overdue book is returned.
LOST BOOKS: If a student looses a book, he/she may not check out another book
until the
replacement cost of the book is paid for or until the book is found and returned
in the same condition it was checked out.
DAMAGED BOOKS: If a student damages a book, he/she may not check out another
book
until the replacement cost of the book is paid in full. Student may also be
charged the cost to repair the
book if cost is less than the total amount of the replacement cost.
NUMBER OF BOOKS FOR CHECKOUT
Students may check out two books at one time and both can be Accelerated Reader
books, if the student likes.

From this site, you can access an Accelerated Reader Quiz list, student appropriate search engines, the Intermediate Library's catalog, and a student activity page.
· To search for Accelerated Reader books using the library
catalog, follow the steps listed below:
1. Use the Reading Program search button on the left side of screen
2. Type in ONE level in the student's reading range (e.g. 4.7 NOT 3.8-4.8)
and click "Search" OR go to step 3
3. Type in the desired point amount (e.g. 2) and click "Search"
OR go to step 4
4. Type in a topic of interest (e.g. adventure) and click "Search"
5. Browse the list of titles.
· Also, under the Reference Resource page, you can access
a subscribed service called "Grolier".
