Speech and Drama is to inform, educate, and entertain students in the processes of public speaking, acting, and technical theatre and to have fun. Students will learn the skills of effective oral communication in both daily living and in special public speaking situations. Students will also work individually and in groups to develop skills in discussion, presentation, use of stage positions and areas, and projection of believable characters. Students will also learn the technical aspects of stage make up, building a set, and producing a play.
