  1. Seniors:  When you turn in your senior t-shirt money to Ms. Fernandez please be sure  it is before school, after school
  2. There is a mandatory STUCO meeting at 7:15 a.m on Tuesday in Mr. Partneys room.
  3. Congratulations to the students who competed in both speech meets so far this year.  Festus has made a very good showing with some fine performances. Tickets for the fall play, 12 Angry Jurors, will be on sale next week during lunch.  Tickets will be $4 at school and $5 on the nights of the performances, Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 7:30pm.
  4. Congratulations to the Festus Model UN for bringing home three awards from yesterday's SEMO conference.  Honorable Mention Best Delegation went to Afghanistan (Leslie Waugh and Lindsay Ohlemeier), Third Place Best Delegate from Iran (Jordyn Dinwiddie), and Second Place Best Delegate for Security Council from the United States (Jennifer Barnes).  Every delegate did a fantastic job and represented both their countries and FHS well! 
  5. THERE WILL BE AN FCCLA MEETING IN ROOM 207 RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL THURSDAY, NOV.12TH.  $5.00 DUES NEED TO BE PAID AND UPCOMING PROJECT DATES WILL BE DISCUSSED.  NEW MEMBERS ARE WELCOME!IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND, STOP BY AND GET INFORMATION.
  6. Festus High School  Basketball tryouts begin Monday 11/9.  See Coach Cearley or Coarch Erickson for times and gym locations.
  7. The Cross Country Bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and the bus will return at approximately 5:00 p.m.  If you would still like to sign up, see Mrs. Lassing asap.  The list will be closed at NOON TODDAY.
  8. Sports Banquets are as follows:  Cross Country November 9th  in the gym, Soccer Nov. 9th in the cafeteria,Volleyball Nov. 10th in the gym and Softball Nov. 10th in the cafeteria. All sports banquets begin at 7pm.
  1. Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team for achieving an average GPA of 3.30.  The softball team will be added to the Missouri Softball Coaches Association list of teams that qualify for Academic All State. 
  2. FBLA members going to the conference in Denver need to get their final payment to Ms. Eshelman ASAP!
  3. Senior Picture Yearbook Deadline is extended to  November 30th.
  4. National French week is 11/4-11/11.  Starting today, the French club will be hosting a Napoleon Bonaparte scavenger hunt.  French club members will be posting Napoleon images around school (in classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, cafeteria, library,etc...). This activity will run Wed.-Friday of this week.  Teachers and administrators can play too!!! You must write the locations of each Napoleon on a piece of paper.  Then turn in your paper with the accurate locations to Mrs. Dalton in room 209 on Friday.  The student/teacher with the most locations wins French Candy. "Vive la France!"
  5. TREND members:  There is a TREND meeting after school, in the cafeteria, on Monday, Nov. 9th
  6. BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS START MONDAY NOVEMBER 9TH.  FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORE TRYOUTS START AT 5PM IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM.  JUNIORS AND SENIORS TRYOUTS START AT 7PM IN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM.  ANYONE INTERESTED IN BEING A BOYS BASKETBALL MANAGER NEEDS TO SHOW UP AT JUNIOR AND SENIOR TRYOUTS AT 7PM.
  7. STUDENTS:  If you plan to take the December 12 ACT you must be registered by this Friday in order to avoid a late fee.  If you have questions, see your counselor.
  8. The following colleges will be in the Counseling Office this month:  Tuesday, November 10, 8:00--McKendree College and 1:00-- Westminster College.  Stop by the counseling office if you would like to pick up a pass to visit with them. SV
  9. Coach Montgomery needs baseball players and anyone willing to help on Friday immediately after school at the baseball field at west city park to roll up the infield tarp.  It will take just a few minutes.  See Coach Montgomery if you can help.
