10:00 Varisty Cross Country at State Meet in Jefferson City
  1. All Speech Team members going to next weeks B events should come to a meeting today after school in room 212.  We will be discussing details for the Meet on Nov. 5.  See Mr. Borgmeyer if you can't make the meeting.
  2. No Rocket Club this Wed. due to football game
  3. Play practice today will be 3:30-5:30 in room 212 as scheduled.  All all actors should be there at 3:15 so we can start at 3:30pm.
  4. Congratulations to the Varsity Football team for their victory over DeSoto Friday night 31-22.  With the  victory they have won the district championship three consecutive years and have qualified for the playoffs with a contest here Wednesday vs. Poplar Bluff.
  5. On November 7th the Cross Country Boys and Girls team will race at Jefferson City for the state Cross Country Championship.  We would like to have enough people to get a pep bus.  If you would be interested in riding a pep bus to the state meet,  please sign up in the main office before 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
  6. Attention Key Club members:  We will have our November meeting this thursday after school in Coach Montgomery's classroom.  Please plan to attend. 
  7. All Speech & Theater Club Members should come by room 212 after school for snacks and halloween fun.  The Speech & Theater Club Halloween party is from 2:45-4pm.  All club members are invited.
  8. Congratulations to Will Thompson our November Student of the Month.
  9. Congratulations to Emily Anderson for being selected to represent Festus High School at the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Conference this next summer. Congratulations to Chris Palmero for being selected as our alternate. Thank you to everyone who applied. We had some awesome candidates this year
  10. Any Renaissance member that would like to participate in organizing and labeling locker flyers stop by Mrs. Bohn's classroom to sign up and receive an event pass.
  11. Renaissance Prize Patrol needs to stop by Mrs. Bohn's Classroom to get a Renaissance event pass signed for seventh hour.

  16. The cheerleaders are headed to State on November 14th, 2009. State Cheerleading shirts are on sale for $12.00! See a Varsity cheerleader or Ms. Barnes if you are interested in purchasing them. Your money is due at the time of purchase.

  19. Senior Picture Yearbook Deadline is Oct. 31st.
  20. Everyone is invited to Winter Guard tryout  from 5 - 7 on November 5.
  21. The varsity football game vs Desoto has been moved to this Friday evening at 7:00 pm at DeSoto.
  22. Any student wanting to go to France next June must come to the meeting Monday night at 5:30 in the Library!
  23. There is Basketball open conditioning after school at the High School Monday-Thursday this week.  See Coach Erickson or Coach Cearley for your respective questions.
  24. There will be an informational meeting regarding the upcoming girls basketball tryouts for interested student and their parents tonight at 7:00 p.m. at the High School.
