7:30 Homecoming Dance 2009
  1. JUNIORS--You can still turn in magazine orders through this week if you have any. These will still count towards the prizes--Sell 7, get a free Skin It or CD; Sell 12, get a free Stadium Blanket; Sell 16, get a free Prom Ticket. Turn your orders in to Mr. Schnabel in room 226.
  2. Spirit Days are:, Wed. WackyWednesday, Thurs. Superhero Day and Friday Gold and Black Day.
  3. Outdoors Club will be meeting in the theater after school today to talk about the float in the parade and discuss officers.  You need to attend this meeting or see Coach Allen/Coach Campbell today 4 info
  4. Chess club will be meeting Today, after school, in the cafeteria.
  5. JV football team had a big victory last night over Normandy 22-14
  6. The procedure for Homecoming Release will be the same as used at finals.  All students will be dismissed at 12:33. Students wishing to eat in the cafeteria may eat at that time from 12:33-12:53  all other students may attend the parade. After eating you may proceed to the parade. After the parade students can report to the gymnasium if you do  not have transportation.  Buses will run at the normal time of 2:37.

  8. Attention Key Club Members:  See Coach Montgomery if you plan to ride in the key club truck in the homecoming parade on Friday.
  9. Students you must be in school all day Friday to attend the dance on Saturday.
  10. THERE WILL BE A PRACTICE FOR HOMECOMING CORONATION ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH. OUTSIDE PRACTICE WILL BE FIRST HOUR. STUDENTS SHOULD WALK TO THE TRACK AT THE BELL.  INSIDE PRACTICE WILL BE IN THE GYM DURING SEVENTH HOUR. THERE WILL BE A LIST OF CANDIDATES IN TEACHERS' MAILBOXES TOMORROW MORNING.
  11. Students are not to park in the parking lot behind the athletic office or on the cafeteria parking lot before or after school per Central Office.
  12. Renaissance will be selling Best Seats in the house tickets for Fridays Homecoming game.  You and a friend can sit front and center on a comfy couch and have a pizza of your choice.  Buy your tickets at lunch for only a 1.00 all this week.
  13. Girls Basketball Open Gym scheduled for today(Tuesday, September 22nd) will end at 4:00 instead of 5:00.
  14. See you at the pole is on Wednesday at 7:30 in front of the school.
  15. The sophomores will be building their float at the white shed across from J and B meat market on North 6th from 5 -9 Monday thru Friday next week.  See Mrs. Harms in Room 104 or Chris Palmero for directions.
  16. The following colleges will be in the Counseling Office the next two weeks in September.  Stop by to pick up a pass to visit with them. Tuesday, September 22-Missouri State University and Wednesday, September 23-Southern Illinois University-Carbondale at 8:45.
  17. Any Sophomore or Junior who is wanting to sign up for the PSAT you may do so in the counseling office. Cost is $13 which must be paid when you sign up. Test is Wednesday, October 14. See Ms. Esparza or Mrs. Brown if you have any questions.
  18. Students:  Homecoming tickets are now available before school, during lunch and after school with Mrs. Lassing.  The are 4.00 each in advance and 5.00 at the door.  Tickets will be sold until 3 on Thursday. All fines must be taken care of to attend the dance.
  19. Members of the Spanish club, we are placing orders for t-shirts. The cost is $9.00, please only cash.  The last day to order is this Friday, 9/25/09.
  20. Outside Guest Forms are available at either office.  Forms must be turned in to Mrs. Biehle by 3:00 on Wednesday, 9/23/09
  21. A pair of glasses, black shorts, lunch box.  a watch pair of jeans, a black bag, a pair of sweats and a set of pictures  can be claimed at the main office.
  22. Freshmen...floating building is at the old mattress building across from Dairy Queen from 5-9 p.m.
  23. Homecoming T-Shirts will be on sale today during each lunch shift for 10.00.
  24. Attention Key Club members:  If you are interested in helping with the stadium clean up project this saturday, see Coach Montgomery.
  25. Drumline will be released by intercom at 1:30 today.
  26. Attention Key Club members:  Your six dollar dues for the club are due by Sept. 30th. If you want to be in the club you must pay by Sept. 30th so we can get you registered.  Bring your six dollars to  treasurer Ariel Wilde or you can pay Coach Montgomery before school each morning.
  27. Are you 18 and want to be registered to vote in the November elections?  Come by the Library and register to vote.
  28. If anyone wants to purchase a yearbook who hasn’t bought one, see a staff member to put your name on a list of buyers.
  29. Attention Juniors: The float building for juniors will take place at the red roof storage facility here in Festus.  The  facility is located off of Horine Road across from the entrance into Alexander Heights.   See Mike Frey or Brandon Tran for directions.
  30. Students no one is to park on the hill out front on Friday.
