  1. JUNIORS--You can still turn in magazine orders through next week if you have any. These will still count towards the prizes--Sell 7, get a free Skin It or CD; Sell 12, get a free Stadium Blanket; Sell 16, get a free Prom Ticket. Turn your orders in to Mr. Schnabel in room 226.
  2. Spirit Days for next week are: Monday PJ Day, Tuesday Salad Dressing Day-Freshman French Dressing, Soph. Ranch Dressing, Juniors Ceasar and Seniors Thousand Island, Wed. WackyWednesday, Thurs. Superhero Day and Friday Gold and Black Day.
  3. The sophomores will be building their float at the white shed across from J and B meat market on North 6th from 5 -9 Monday thru Friday next week.  See Mrs. Harms in Room 104 or Chris Palmero for directions.
  4. Students check your name on Mrs. Biehle’s Office window to see if you qualify for Renaissance Rewards next Tuesday.
  5. Project Prom will be selling ice cream for .50 cents or 1.00 with toppings this Friday.
  6. Baseball Players:   If any player is interested in attending winter baseball camps at the University of Missouri see coach Montgomery for information.
  7. Attention Students and Faculty: Today is Constitution Day, a day set aside by Congress to recognize the signing of the U.S. Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787. The Social Studies Dept. encourages you to take a moment to reflect on the reasons this great document  has lasted 222 years, longer than any other constitution in the world.
  8. The following colleges will be in the Counseling Office the next two weeks in September.  Stop by to pick up a pass to visit with them. Friday during lunch ITT Technical Institute, Monday, September 21-Maryville University at 8:00 and SEMO at 1:00, Tuesday, September 22-Missouri State University and Wednesday, September 23-Southern Illinois University-Carbondale at 8:45.
  9. SENIORS:  The Vantage Quest for Education Scholarship applications are now available in the guidance office.  This scholarship has been won by various FHS students in the past.
  10. STUDENTS:  If you plan to take the October 24 ACT, you must be registered by Friday in order to avoid a late fee.

  12. Balfour will be at school today and Friday September 18th during lunches for class ring orders.  We will have a parent night onThursday September 17th from 5-7 p.m..  Juniors and Seniors you can still order a class ring - packets are in the office.  $75 dollar deposit.
  13. Any Sophomore or Junior who is wanting to sign up for the PSAT you may do so in the counseling office. Cost is $13 which must be paid when you sign up. Test is Wednesday, October 14. See Ms. Esparza or Mrs. Brown if you have any questions.
  14. Students:  Homecoming tickets are now available before school, during lunch and after school with Mrs. Lassing.  The are 4.00 each in advance and 5.00 at the door. All fines must be taken care of to attend the dance.
  15. Auditions for the Fall Play are today in room 212.  Auditions will be by Appointment and a sign-up sheet will be outside room 212 starting Monday.  All are welcome to sign-up and be a part of the 12 Angry Jurrors, this years fall play.
  16. Members of the Spanish club, we are placing orders for t-shirts. The cost is $9.00, please only cash.
  17. Outside Guest Forms are available at either office.  Forms must be turned in to Mrs. Biehle by 3:00 on Wednesday, 9/23/09
  18. A pair of jeans and a set of pictures  can be claimed at the main office.
  19. FBLA meets after school today Room 225.
  20. Model UN will meet Monday, Sept. 21 after school in Ms. Cooper's Room (200) to choose committees and topics.  Bring $5.00 dues if you haven't paid yet. 
  21. A+ Tutors: Timesheet #2 must be turned before you leave Friday.
