- Coach Schmidt is still looking for managers for the football team anyone interested please see him asap
- Chess Club is next Tuesday, August 25th after school in the cafeteria.
- Attention last year's varsity baseball players: Your 2009 conference championship patches are in, see coach Montgomery to pick them up.
- Anyone interested in playing football please see Coach Schmidt before Wednesday
- "It's that time again...time to order your 2009-10 yearbook! At registration, students were given an order form for the Earlybird special, running until the end of this week. If you order your yearbook by this Friday, Aug. 21st, you can get it for $5 dollars off the regular price! Just go online to www.jostensyearbooks.com to order and pay for your yearbook. Dont miss out on this special "back to school" sale. After Friday the price goes back up to $50 so order your yearbooks today!"
- All Freshmen interested in running for Student Council see Mr. Partney ASAP in room 112. Elections will be held next week during lunch.
- The Festus Dance Team participated in the 2009 Illinois State University UDA summer camp. At this camp they took a home routine and performed against 12 other squads. They recieved a 3rd place trophy, they also recieved a superior trophy. These 2 trophies qualified them to participate in Nationals in Orlando, Florida, which is an honor. Also the Festus Dance team received a spirit stick every night and also the Super Spirit Stick, which only one team gets per night. Seniors Kayelah Bilderback, Jordyn Dinwiddie, and Cassie Patterson, Juniors Miranda Miller and Shannon O'Kief all made All Stars, this qualifies them for a chance to go to Rome and be in the New Years Parade.
- Back to School Dance - Friday, August 21st 9 pm - 11pm $2 to get in Hot dogs and soda for sale at the dance. Students must be in attendance all day Friday to attend the dance.
- Congratulations to Logan Bone, Brendan Neel, Mike Sides and Ryan Yuengel on their 5th place finish at the World Series American Legion Tournament.
