THE A+ SCHOOLS PROGRAM OFFERS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO PROCEED FROM HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION TO A TWO YEAR COMMUNITY COLLEGE OR A POSTSECONDARY PUBLIC VOCATIONAL OR TECHNICAL SCHOOL BY OFFERING TUITION, BOOKS, AND FEES TO THESE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

STUDENTS WHO ELECT TO BE PART OF THE A+ PROGRAM MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

1. Students and parents must sign an A+ Schools Participation Agreement. (Forms are available and should be filed with the A+ office located in the high school. (Click here for printable version of Participation Agreement)

2. Students must maintain 95% attendance upon graduation. (Attendance is accumulative over all 4 years of high school.)

3. Students must maintain a 6.0(C+ average) GPA upon graduation. (GPA is accumulative over all 4 years of high school.)

4. Students must maintain a record of good citzenship while in the A+ Schools Program.

5. Students must complete 50 hours of school-supervised tutoring and mentoring.

6. Students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form by May 1st of their senior year. This form may be filed online at: www.fafsa.ed.gov
