STARR (Select Teachers As Regional Resources) teachers help their colleagues learn authentic instructional techniques for promoting active, hands-on learning by students in all subject areas. These practices have been proven most effective in positively affecting student achievement.
STARR teachers serve as a resource by:
Conducting workshops at your school
Coaching and/or providing demonstration lessons
Serving as ongoing consultants
Conducting monthly study groups
Scheduling
The team is available to facilitate professional growth activities in the city of St. Louis, as well as counties of St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson. Workshops may be scheduled by calling the STARR office at (314) 692-9733. Book early to insure your dates will be available.
Costs
STARR services are absolutely FREE! Districts provide the site, the necessary AV equipment and copy the handouts.
